having used other similar products to try to make round ice cubes it seems easier than it actually is to execute on this shape. The bucket design of this product does make it much easier and faster to fill the ice cube mold with water than other products I have used to make spherical ice cubes . The user guide was easy to follow and explained how to use the product in depth. The hard plastic top piece does need to be empty when you place it in the freezer otherwise it is very difficult to remove after the cubes are frozen overall this is a good product but be aware the bucket does take out a fair amount of freezer space so if you don't have a large freezer where it can easily sit flat, this might be harder to use.
