Absolute worst winter tire, ever!! Stay Away!!

Similar to another review on this site, I love Blizzak tires such as the WS80 and 90, which I have on other BMWs. However, the LM001 is dismal in all winter conditions and is seriously dangerous stopping on ice, curling rocks stop faster on ice than these tires. I use to ice race and ,therefore, rate myself much higher than the average driver on snow and ice and these tires scared me. I have had performance based winter tires like the Nokin Hakappalita RSI which were very good but the LM001, I would rank at 10% of the capability of the discontinued RSi's. Seriously, don't know what Bridgestone was thinking with these tires. Anyone, who has bought these tires should get a credit towards proper winter tires.

First time winter tires

I bought these set for a FBO civic si. Never liked driving in the Si in snow. First heavy snow fall Chicago last week 3-5 inches. I was impressed, I felt confident on the road while snowing. Plus on the dry conditions I'm often hitting 100+ (Hwy ramps, pulls etc). I think the tires are quiet but it's hard to tell with the headers+exhaust. So far very satisfied

Worst snow tire I've ever had.

Let me start by saying I love Blizzaks. This tire, unfortunately, is not a blizzak. Yes it has the name, but it has none of the performance. This is literally the worst snow tire i have ever used. It is only good for one thing, slush, provided there's nothing slippery under that slush. The tread compound is hard as a rock and not the pliable, squishy blizzak rubber. I understand they were trying to do something for sports cars, which is why I purchased the tire (my little car has 600hp), but they sadly made a tire that's barely better than an average all-season. WS80, WS90, DMV2 tires all run circles around this tire. If I had to do it again, I would just get the dmv2.
