for the price it's a nice added convenient machine for your spiral projects. Would recommend selecting thin tubular veggies and not overly mushy ones. For cucumbers I would recommend the English long yard. So far going good, I have used it 6 times.. keep in mind its not super super fast...wish it was....but so much better than by hand!
