I have blackout blinds installed in my bedroom. While the blinds block out the light; around the edges, not so much. Since I am a light sleeper (pun intended :-) I decided to try Sleepy Time Light Blocking Strips to find out if they would solve this problem. The difference was night and day! So, now I'm not awakened when the sun rises. Depending on your sleep preferences that could be good or bad. But for me it is wonderful. Initially I purchased only enough tracks to treat the two windows in the bedroom, because it was a tough sell to convince my wife that the 'good' of blocking out the light would outweigh the potential 'bad' of adding them in front of our window blinds. But, after I installed them, she thought that the tracks framed the blinds and made them to appear more elegant. Perhaps needless to say, I will be busy installing more Sleepy Time Tracks.

WOW! I recently moved and did not realize that there was a street light outside my bedroom window that makes you feel like you at Universal Studios City Walk. I purchased blackout shades and they worked fine. However, there was stil bright light coming from the edges. I installed these. (EASY) and now it is so dark in my room I need to turn on a light to see where I am going. I mean it is REALLLY DARK. They work and easy to install.
