Patco 5865 Heavy-Duty Removable Protective Film Tape: 1 in x 60 yds. (Clear)

Patco 5865 Heavy-Duty Removable Protective Film Tape is a polyethylene film tape used for general protective masking applications on plastics and metal that require temporary surface protection during assembly, shipping, or installation. It can also be used as a laminate for nickel-plated nameplates. The tape is thick, yet highly conformable and offers moderate tack which bonds to most surfaces. Patco 5865 is also abrasion, moisture, and solvent resistant. It removes cleanly without leaving adhesive residue behind. Helps to save money by reducing damage to delicate surfaces. This tape does not offer UV-protection; however, if you need to provide temporary paint protection from punctures and abrasion on say a bicycle frame during a bike race this would be one to look at. This tape does have moderate tack adhesive on one side which allows it to stay adhered during a shipping process; it is not a static-cling-only type tape. Also, note this tape is not crystal clear like a book repair tape; it is more transparent to translucent and is designed so end users can easily identify the tape in order to remove it. NOTES: Sizes shipped will typically be the tape industry standard metric-cut sizes, i.e. 24mm for each 1 inch of nominal tape width ordered (rolls are approximately 5% narrower than the nominal size). This product's actual size is 24mm x 180 ft. This tape is typically cut to width from log rolls so most sizes ship on non-branded plain white cores. As with any adhesive tape product it is always the user's responsibility to determine that the product is suitable for their intended use; e.g. if you want to remove a product cleanly from a specific type of substrate please test on an inconspicuous area first.
