Made with a 24 gauge removable galvanized steel hood with scalloped corners and roll-formed edges it also has 24 gauge galvanized steel base flanges for secure mounting. The 18 gauge 0.75" galvanized steel expanded metal mesh. The attractive black powder coat finish helps it to stand up to the elements. Made in the USA.

Description doesn't match product

This chimney cap seems fairly well built. My one issue is that i received mine with no powder coat. Which is extremely frustrating because now I need to find time to paint it. I did contact the seller earlier this week and still haven't received a response.
