Both lights connect to 1 controler and lights cannot be separated or used indepently. Came with 2 plastic rings which I can only assume you remove tape and connect each ring to bottom of light.No idea why %26 No instructions included in a plain brown box. Bought a similar units from another Manufacturer where each light worked%26 could be used independently with separate controlers %26 better quality. And boxed with a proper Manufacturers label at a lower price ! Will reorder that same one again. This order being returned unused back to Walmart. Cannot say how well these work since I did not try them and plain box it came in also made me wary to use. Generous on the 2 stars but this product as made would not work for me
