Works great!

This timer does work, you just have to set the time (like any clock). As easy to use as my indoor timers. The only thing I would change about the design is the way it mounts. I chose not to mount it to my exterior wall since this will not be a perm fixture (using for Christmas lights). So, the timer just hangs from the socket. It's okay, but I wish it would plug & hang directly from the outlet. The price can't be beat!

Does not Work Period !

I bought a Brinks Model 42-1014 at our Local Walmart. Installed it a couple of days later on my outside post where we have our Christmas lights pluged in. Set the timer as directed for 5:00pm went away with grand kids for a short ride. By the time we got back the lights should of been on.The Grand kids were all looking forward to see the new lights I installed. But our yard was Dark. After we unloaded. I checked out what happened to the timer. It Never went passed 5:00 pm on the Dial ! I checked for Power going to it and there was . I Turned the Dial to the Correct Time and the lights all Came On ! Then This Morn At 5:00 Am I got up and the lights were still on ! The Timer was Set to TURN OF AT 10:00 PM. And Failed to Work Again !. NOT A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT FOR SURE !

Terrible...terrible....terrible

This is the absolute sorriest excuse for a timer I have seen. I tried it and it stopped working within the first 2 hours of being hooked up and left my lights on 24x7. WalMart made a huge mistake of selling these Brinks timers because they are garbage. Went to Lowes and bought one and it works perfectly.
