CD. The sweet and soothing "Body & Soul" by Coleman Hawkins and his Orchestra gets this compilation from Madacy Entertainment off to a good start. Proving that romantic jazz collections aren't limited only to smooth jazz, this collection features a wide spectrum of classic jazz musicians, from Paul Desmond to Django Reinhardt, all the time maintaining a laid-back, mellow mood. Desmond's version of "My Funny Valentine" is a special treat, as is the Frank Foster Quartet song "The Things We Did Last Summer," but the collection is strong as a whole. ~ Stacia Proefrock, Rovi
