Although there was no indication about the box or the system being in some Asian-type language, it works perfectly fine. Thank God we just had to switch the language to English, and it was not actually region locked. Working perfectly fine… SO FAR.

The video game disc that came with the system is from the UK/Europe, and you can't update games from overseas without changing your PS ID region. Basically, the game is a paperweight that can't be used. I don't know who to reach out for a remedy but since the actual console works just fine it's not worth the struggle to make a return. Whatever, just a warning to others
