I boiled some water, then poured in the thermos put the lid on, while the soup heated. When the soup was ready, I poured the water out and filled them with hot soup, sealed at 6:30 am. At 6:30- 7pm when my kids did dinner on their ski break the soup was the perfect temperature for my kids.
