this keyboard works for me because it combines an angled split design with mechanical keys that my fingertips can feel. Positioning my fingers and sensing the return/shift/control keys by touch is essential - and the chicklet keyboard I had before was useless. This one works. The trackball is not to my liking. The position and angle are definitely NOT ergonomic. If you put your right hand on the ball, the left button is nowhere near your thumb. It's handy occasionally, if the mouse is out of reach but it's no replacement for a separate mouse or trackball. The scroll wheel is fine but again positioned wrong. that also belongs on separate mouse.

I've only had it three days but use it 8 hours every day so will update if anything negative comes up. There are very few reviews on Adesso keyboards so I've been using the Microsoft sculpture wireless keyboard as well as the other wired Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. I like them But the wired one was so wide as it had the numerical had attached to it on the right side. The Microsoft sculpt keyboard doesn't have that attached so the size is better however I had to still reach to get to the mouse which started to hurt my shoulder. I decided to try this keyboard because I didn't want to reach for the mouse. It is maybe 1 to 2 inches too short for me. I wish the space in the center where the keyboard is split were just 1-2 inches wider. For reference from the tip of each shoulder I am 13.5 inches wide and my arm is about 26 inches from shoulder to index finger. I have had to learn to use the trackball Mouse with my left hand as it is closer to the left side of my body as another review were mentioned. They must have fixed the extreme sensitivity of the track ball because I have not had any issues with it moving on me. What I love is that I seem to be able to use the scroll wheel on one document but still put the cursor on another document and move it around. The fact that I don't have to reach over to the right has decreased the pain in my right shoulder. It also means I don't have to keep shifting positions in my seat Just to reach my mouse. I am working in another state and not having to also pack a separate mouse and have a mouse pad it's very good for space saving in my luggage as well as when I set up my computer. After I plugged the USB receptor into the USB port everything loaded up onto my HP work computer without my having to change any settings.
