Transmission Range Sensor - Compatible with 1999 - 2004 Ford F-350 Super Duty 2000 2001 2002 2003

Gear shifter was very stiff and I eventually broke the end of it off. Neighbors all had their opinions as to why it was hard to move. I searched the web and ended up here. Put the truck in neutral, broke the old part off (You have to), sandpapered and oiled nob, gently pushed the new part on (cant tap it on because of exhaust but it will go on--push on straight and it is tight--it will go with hand pressure), lined up the bolt holes (middle turns separate of the casing) made sure the hard to see line on the casing lined up with grove in trans nob, tightened bolts, shifted great!, but truck wouldn't start.... loosened bolts, lined up the line with grove better, tightened it......off I went. Guys/ladies, just buy the thing and get it over with. It was very easy to do and was the problem.
