Nearly 6 inches in diameter (5 7/8''), which makes it perfectly adequate for CB aerials up to and including the Sirio trucker antenna or similar sized amateur aerials.
Supplied new and unused with a 12' RG58 coaxial lead fitted with a 3/8 24 thread and weather-cap.
This is a larger heavy duty magnetic mount, supplied with 4m of RG58 coax and a 3/8 24 Thread fitted. Complete with rubber boot to prevent scratching, it will hold a variety of CB/Ham mobile whips that are fitted with the very popular 3/8 24 Thread connector.

    Another excellent product from Sirio engineers

    Superb magnetic mount for lower frequency antennae! Even works with 20 meter sticks. The critical component in the metal ground plane you fit to the base of the magnet, before covering it with the protective rubber plate. The magnetic strength far exceeds that in the Asian product, and it will not come loose or shift, even at high speed. Construction is outstanding electrically, and I use it routinely. It is a bit of a challenge to remove from the car, but that is quibbling. They also make this with an M-type UHF connector (SO-239), which works wonderfully even at frequencies from 40m to 70cm. Sirio products are solid, affordable, and dependable.
