I have two cats and was getting ready for knee surgery. this feeder has many options for feeding. I love that you can set up to six different feedings and different amounts for each feeding. the cats love to hear my voice through the feeder telling them it's time to eat. you will need to read the book with regard to setting it up initially but once you get past that part is smooth sailing. putting it together is a bit of a puzzle and if you miss one step you have to go back and start over. this has to do with setting the feeder itself up.

Very easy to set up the feeding schedule with the use of the manual.. It is also very durable as I found out when a raccoon knocked it around trying to get food out of the food storage bin. The raccoon was unsuccessful at getting into the food bin and the unit was unharmed. One improvement would be to make the carrying handle a little bigger for people with big hands.

Finally--Our cats are fed consistently on time! They no longer feel the need to "remind" us, hours in advance! No more jumping on us, sniffing our noses and playing tag on our bed. The bonus is that there are two separate dishes. There's no more competing to eat first. This has ended them eating as much and as fast as they can. Hence, much better digestion and fewer stomach issues. They've learned the schedule and are very content. So are we!
