The Quintessential Antihero

Mad Max is one of the greatest action films of all time! Set in a pre-apocalyptic, near future, it follows the life of Max Rockatansky (a.k.a. Mad Max), as he is transformed into one of cinemas quintessential antiheroes. The action sequences are amazing and never disappoint. The ending is very satisfying and ice cold. The supporting cast is also great. Who can't get into a movie filled with characters with names such as Toecutter, Bubba Zanetti, Nightrider, Jim "Goose", and a burly police captain called Fifi? Mad Max still packs a punch even though it is now 31 years old (as I write this)! Needless to say, I highly recommed this film!

The Original Racer

Considering all 3 MadMax movies this one is the best. The Road Warrior is a close second. I am a car nut and love the evil ford falcon interceptor blower whine. You can feel the speed in the chase scenes; almost like a real-life COPS show!!! For being a late 70's movies the action and film quality is great. Forget the Fast and the Furious and those other yuppy/toyish Hotwheels movies. No Honda/Toyota will ever be as mean as the interceptor. Definitely set the standards for newer racing movies. But none are better than ultra smooth Bullitt (1968).
