Mancala (Travel Edition)

Played by more people than any other game in history mancala is simple to learn yet surprisingly challenging to play. Your object is to collect the most stones in your mancala (a bowl at the end of the board). Strategy which shifts depending on which version of the game you're playing is necessary in determining where to begin and end your turn to gain the best advantage. Travel Mancala checks in at a mere 4.75 inches by 3.5 inches so it's small enough to tuck into a backpack or bag. No worries about lost stones either: a loop-and-peg closure on the hinged hardwood board keeps them snugly in their cubbyholes. --Julie Ubben
