I've had other mechanical keyboards, but really prefer split keyboards and have been using the Logitech ERGO K860 until the D key stopped working. I was then on a Kensington Pro Fit™ Ergo Wireless Keyboard, which was fine but not nearly as smooth as the Logitech. So I finally decided it was time to look into an affordable, mechanical, split keyboard so I could customize or get fixes made without issues. I landed on the Q13 mainly because of the incredibly good Keychron reviews, and haven't regretted the choice once. The Gateron Red switches were fine, but a little more noisy than I'd expected. So I ended up getting Gateron Black Silent switches, which have a littler more pressure and are MUCH quieter. If there's anything I could complain about, it's that the OEM keycaps don't have shine through, and it's really hard to find Alice compatible, shine through keycaps. Even other keys are difficult to find, since Alice needs an extra "B" key and the spacebar split is hard. But you could generally replace most of the keys with any set, and just use the spacebar that it comes with. The Keyboard is heavy as heck, and feels crazy substantial. I jopled with some people that I could kill an intruder with this keyboard. While some may hate that, I love it. The keyboard doesn't move at all, and is incredibly solid. The configuration tool is incredible. The firmware update portion is a little weird, but everything else is great. It was incredibly easy to set some of the keys to different values, and the macros are pretty straightforward, so long as I remembered to stop recording and save. I'm definitely a Keychron convert, and will make sure any future keyboards, including ones I bring for work, will be theirs. I just love the feel and build quality.
