I am absolutely in love with this bike (I named mine "Mystique" because she's blue and folds!)
Why I bought it:
I wanted a bike for running nearby errands and sometimes transporting cargo (up to 30 lbs). The folding aspect was key for me—I love having the option to bike one way and just Uber back if I want to. The folding hinge is sturdy and reliable, which was a huge relief.
The Good Stuff:
I was really impressed with the shipping—it arrived fast and was packaged with extreme care. It also came with all the tools I needed to put it together. The front basket and back rack are excellent quality.
The Assembly (Read this to save 2 hours!):
Here are 6 things I wish I knew before I started:
Have a Pump Ready: The tires ship half-full to prevent punctures during shipping. You will need an air pump to top them off before your first ride!
The "Stem Wedge" Warning: When installing the handlebars, do not unscrew the top bolt all the way. If you loosen it too much, the metal wedge inside will fall into the fork tube. There is a hole at the base to push it out if this happens . Keep the bolt attached to the wedge.
The "Bent" Washer: You will see a thin, curved metal washer. It is not broken! It is supposed to be curved to fit the stem tube. It goes between the silver tube and the black wedge.
The Mystery "Red Button" Part: The black clamp with the red button is a holster for the bike lock (best placed on the seat post) for storing only. Release to use the lock.
The "Secret Lever" Kickstand: Stop! It doesn't just kick it up! This stand locks in the down position. You must instead kick the small metal tab left of the leg to release it. (See photo).
Pro Tip for the Tools: When using the L-shaped Allen wrench, stick the long end into the bolt to spin it quickly. When you need to tighten it down hard, flip it and use the short end in the bolt to get more leverage (torque).
Custom Fit %26 Style Notes:
Handlebar Adjustment:
If the reach feels "strange," loosen the front center nut on the handlebars. I "twirled" the grips toward to get the perfect brake placement for my hands.
Fenders:
I decided to leave the front fender off for a sleeker look.
Bonus Mascot: Mine came with a funny little orange cartoon character sticker on the frame. I'm not sure if it's a sloth or a kid in a snowsuit, but it adds a lot of personality!
Overall, a fantastic value. It rides like a dream, shifts effortlessly and gives me the freedom to ride as far as I want and fold it up to get home. Highly recommend!!
