Lodge True Southern Cornbread Mix, 16 oz Box – Made for Lodge Cast Iron Skillets

I give this cornmeal 150%. I wish it came in 5lb bag. I could eat it all the time. I have tried lots of cormeal. I come from Virginia where all we have is the self rising cornmeal and flour. I rate this the best cornmeal in the land. Nothing like baking hot cast iron skill fill of cornbread and cutting it and putting in glass and pouring ice cold milk over it. Yummy Yummy. I always put crisco on the pan cold and then take little flour coating it thoroghly if any of the black of the skillet is present I dab little more crisco on it and little more flour. Mixing this like a cake batter thiness. Then pour it on the skillet and bake as directed, cut and eat in glass of cold milk.
