Place the removal tool over the end of the blade and the stopping edge over the side of the deck. Turn the handle clockwise to tighten it in place and prevent the spindle from turning.

Park the mower on a level surface, set the parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition. Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug as well to prevent accidental ignition.
