A nice lightweight stackable unit with secure latches. This is not water tight or water proof and there are small vent holes on the sides under the handles which could let in insects plus the lid fits tight enough to keep out mice or rats but not water. Good value for large storage

I was relieved to find the same Sterlite trunk as an in-stock item in exactly the same dimensions of the others so that I can stack it with others in a storage area. I now own about 6 or 7 of these sturdy trunks. They hold a lot of stuff. I started using them when I traveled for a living and lived in hotels for 3-4 months at a time. I padlocked them and they are tough. I've never had one break or dent. They now hold seasonal wardrobes, breakable heirlooms. Christmas decorations and I bought some in colors for my kids toy chests.
