I'm a true size 8 in shoe size but glad I sized 1/2 a size down since I knew I'd be wearing mostly stockings w the shoe. Could also size down while wearing med-thick socks as well. Only took a few wears to comfortably break in. I love them so much. Starting to fray a bit on the inside facing ankle area but I wear these for work for long periods at a time so to be expected in terms of wear and tear. But wearing more casually I can see them lasting better.
