Love!

I got this jacket in a size S in black, and XS in white to try to find out what size/color I really wanted. I returned the white because it did have a dirt mark on it, and even though it was easy to remove I know with pets and kids I didn't want to take the chance of always getting marks on it. If you are deciding between the XS and S, it depends on what you want to wear underneath it. With the S I am able to comfortably have a thin long sleeve shirt, or even a thicker flannel on underneath and not feel like the arms are tight. If I have just the thin long sleeve on under the XS it felt a little too tight. The XS was shorter than the S, and I loved how much longer the S was because I hate having to constantly pull down my jacket. The sleeve seemed like the same length, they are longer than most jackets. I went out into the light rain and it just beaded on the jacket and shook right off! Definitely warm and worth the money! (I am 5'1 125lbs)

My new favorite

This jacket is al all around excellent example of the quality, fit, and comfort I associate with the brand. The fabric has great give and is very warm, and the cut is comfortable and super flattering. It is nice enough to wear to the office. A bonus - pet hair does not stick to it! Just a quick shake and it comes right off!

How many ways do I love this jacket!?

I don't think I can rave enough about how much I enjoy this jacket. The outer shell has repelled a rainstorm and in the inner lining has kept me warm. The lining is a plush, soft texture, but not really a typical fleece. My body temperature runs very hot, so during most of the year, even rain, snow and cold I have to be very careful how warm my outer wear keeps me. The Kruser Ridge has fulfilled every expectation, even in 68 degree stormy weather, when most people are very cold, I may need a very light jacket and still get to warm as I'm outdoors. But, as I have gone hiking or walking along the foothill trails, I find the jacket to be the perfect weight. I am a fairly large woman, and wear 3x typically. I was very worried when I read that the jacket runs small, but I took a chance, and I wasn't disappointed. I have very broad shoulders, but my arms tend to run smaller than most my size. I also do not have a large bust size, so I found the arms and shoulders to be very roomy. I don't feel restricted at all. I sometimes have trouble with the hip and lower stomach area being too small on clothing, even when across the bust is too big, but this is large enough to zip up and room left over, but still with a flattering women's cut. The set in sleeves are a much more flattering look than a raglan sleeve, and hide the broadness of my shoulders. I think the one drawback is no hood for those rainy days. I did give 4/5 on function because it is so waterproof that a hood would help keep my head dry. But, I enjoy the jacket so much, I don't think I'll miss it. I love this jacket so much I bought two different colors and may go back for another.
