This product suffers from poor quality control, design, and assembly process. Some of the L-brackets had screw clearance holes that were halfway off the edge of the bracket metal. I ended up manufacturing two additional L-brackets because of the aforementioned issue. The bracket metal was very thin and not strong. The plywood sheets were extremely thin, making the screws used very short and likely not built to last. I ended up using some of my own screws because of the lack of confidence I had with some of the supplied ones. The assembly process included drilling holes into the wood at points that were not marked so lots of measurements were needed (e.g., the mattress slats required math to determine an even spacing). Some of the screw holes were hidden behind the black fabric cloth so I used an X-acto to cut out openings to insert the screws. Some of the screws were not long enough to penetrate even a quarter inch into the mating piece, resulting in perhaps 1 or 2 threads holding a part together. Just overall poor design, coupled with really poor quality control. We got it done eventually and it looks nice in my daughter's room but it was more of a project than one would expect from modern furniture design. I ended up using 2 power drills, a vise clamp, multiple decking screw lengths, project clamps, a drill press, and various other screw drivers and wrenches to get this done.
