I got this set of 8 cushion covers because my patio furniture cushions were still in good shape foam-wise, but the original fabric had faded, stained, and started looking like something you wouldn't want to sit on. Replacing the whole cushions felt wasteful and expensive, so replacement covers made sense. The first thing I noticed when I opened the package is that the white is a true bright white, not off-white or cream. They have a slightly slick, waterproof-feeling surface, which made me hopeful about rain and morning dew. The fabric is thick but not stiff—it bends easily around corners. Putting them on was a workout. The covers are sized for 24 x 20 inch seats and 24 x 24 x 4 inch backs, but my cushions are a little older and have flattened out over time. I had to wrestle each cover on like I was putting tight jeans on a wiggly toddler. Once they were on though, the fit was actually impressive. No loose sagging fabric, no bunching in the middle. The covers hugged every corner. The zippers are plastic, which worries me a little. They worked fine this time, but outdoor zippers tend to fail after a season of dust and humidity. I made sure to pull them slowly and straight. So far so good. I haven't tested the waterproof claim in a real rainstorm yet, but I poured a glass of water on one and it beaded up and rolled off without soaking through. The water sat on top for a good minute before I wiped it away. I'm hoping these covers last at least two summers. The white will show dirt fast, but that's on me for choosing white for outdoor furniture. A hose spray seems to clean them up fine so far. Good for updating old cushions without buying all new foam. We live in Arizona where it’s already hot in march so I pulled our our patio furniture and the cushions are great but the covers are faded. I was hesitant to get white but I’m so happy with the fit, color, waterproof since around the pool and easy to clean! We have 4 dogs and the white is amazing..we had dark blue before and it showed all the dog hair. Love these and the sharp clean look!
