Chocolate Dessert in a Mug
These cakes for one are the best! There are a variety of flavors so everyone can have their own favorite. I usually add milk instead of water. I think it is just like a tablespoon. This flavor is just kind of like a chocolate cake with tiny chocolate chips. And there is a fudge packet as well. While the cake is in the microwave (one minute and 10 seconds) I knead the fudge packet to kind of get it warmer and make it easier to spread. I have never been able to get it to drizzle pretty like on the package. :D I usually just squeeze it out and take a spoon and spread it on top of my dessert. I also do not use a coffee mug but a small glass cake pan/bowl that is designed for the "desserts for one". I usually keep a variety of these on hand. This is also a great additive to a gift basket for someone. Just give them a coffee cup and stick a dessert in the cup. Will definitely purchase this again in the future and recommend to everyone who likes desserts.
I have a love-hate relationship with chocolate chip cookies. I love them when they are fresh out of the oven, all warm and gooey and soft. Give them a day of sitting on the counter and I hate them, with their chewy edges and hard chocolate chips. That's why the soft baked chocolate chip cookie Mug Treat is perfect for me. I get the best qualities of a fresh baked cookie with the added bonus of extra fudge on top- and I don't have to look at the rest of it's kin on the counter for days until someone else eats them or they get tossed. This time around (it's the 3rd variety of Mug Treats I have tried) I made sure not to overcook the cookie. It was done all the way through but it still almost had the quality of cookie dough- that's how soft it was. The fudge melted and with each spoonful I took would cascade down the rest of the cookie making for a very gooey, chocolatey and satisfying dessert. I truly hope these stick around for a long time.
Love, love, love these mug treat chocolate chip cookies! The cookie has lots of chocolate chips and the fudge topping is the "icing on the cake"! Tastes like a chocolate chip cookie that is fresh from the oven. Great for those nights when you want something sweet but don't want to make a whole batch of cookies.
