GE has the right formula

After going through a "honeymoon" phase with fancy, bells-and-whistles appliances with another manufacturer, I was forced to give them up due to unsatisfactory service/quality problems. So, my needs are: propane, made-in-USA (or parts),, simple design, serious use (I am a near gourmet). White! Hard to find these days! This range was bought, with a GE Refrigerator, for the same price as a fancy other-manufacturer refrigerator. Totally happy with my decision. Serous appliance, heats beautifully, evenly, easy to clean, preheats well, cleans well. It does seem to throw off some propane scent a bit more than I'd like when preheating, but oh boy, this is WONDERFUL. Roastat a whole turkey and bakes an angel food cake with great ease, and is DEPENDABLE.

Simplicity at it's best

Took several months of research to find oven/range that had best BTU burner top in the market. Same size burners large or medium no longer available. This unit had 1 large 12,500 btu, 2 medium 9,500 btu & 1 small 5,000 btu (warmer which I find useless) but was thrilled to have the three decent size burners. Love the recessed edging for containing spills along with storage drawer at bottom insead of broiler (which is going back to the olden days). I'm getting up in age and do not want to broil meat near the floor causing me to stoop with bad knees & bend over with bad back. I find a bottom broiler to be hazardess due to the fact you can't adjust height (too close to flame) & more difficult to enter & remove without mishaps. With that being said, stove is simple without bells & whistles & less likely to need future repairs due to only having electric igniters. Love it along with all my GE appliances and highly recommend.
