Directions : Lady Whistledowns PETITE STRAWBERRY SCONE Dearest Baker, first procure these necessary items: FOR SCONE 1/3 Cup Butter or Margarine, Melted 1/3 Cup Milk or Water 1 HEAT oven to 375°F (or 350°F for nonstick pan). 2 STIR Scone Mix, butter and milk in large bowl until dough forms. 3 ROLL dough on floured surface about 3/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter (included). Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 4 BAKE 16 to 18 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely. 5 CUT scones in half. Spread Strawberry Jam (about 1 teaspoon each) on bottom half of scone; replace top. Lady Crocker’s Tip: For easy clean up use parchment paper. Before baking, beat 1 egg and brush top of each scone with egg wash.
