As a pro builder my exceptions were low , expecting to have to fix the kit to make it snow and weather worthy somewhat. However I did not expect totally false claims and by the time your building the kit its too late. Let me explain .... the kit is not 20 feet deep it's 19 and some , the 2x2 frame is actually 1.5x1.5. The claim of "seamless water proof connection" Is a lie, the kit leaks and they ask you to tape the seams with provided *duct tape* ( barely any over lap of each panel allowed ) serious duct tape! - no joke. Every panel is thin metal with a plastic cover you have to spend 15 mins. per panel stripping off first ( no mention of this in the direction). The self tapping screws are not stainless, are cheap use a plastic weak washer vs proper self tapping stainless screws with a rubber washer. The provided screws strip out incredibly easy as the metal is so thin. Tho the claim is :" reinforced ensuring structural stability and load bearing capacity " only the front and the rear cross members have the reinforced members . The other middle 4 cross members do NOT and considering that the roof panel are deeply channeled front to back, snow will for sure be hung up on the roof. A s the panels are so thin the claim of "This design enables the structure to withstand gusts of wind, heavy rain, snow, and other harsh weather conditions, effectively protecting your vehicle. The extra triangular support rod design for roof reinforcement provides stronger support and load-bearing capacity for the roof." Is Hogwash..Id never trust that roof as it is. Not ONE of the support have angle brackets bridging the corners ( any good carport does ) I would never trust my car in there or boat in a snow storm that has a heavy load . The claim that it will support heavy weather and snow is a joke. I doubt I t would hold 25 lbs / sq foot . not .. 40 to 60 is that is code. I am furious it Leakes like crazy... In order to make it work I had to: Mounted it on 6x 6 pressure treated base, Installed corner braces angle iron bridging the curve corners, used pressure treated upright on each column toed in to prevent side sway in winds ( very weak side to side ) used all new ss rubber washers screws . I tried butyl heavy duty tape but still leaks like a sieve in every seam. I used rebar under each panel to to each cross member to support the panels.. Ive spent as much fixing the kit as buying it! And it still leaks ! DO NOT TRUST THIS KIT. Unless all you want is sun shelter ...and you live with weak weather. sincerely a pro builder
