- This MAP sensor is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate and provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit. As the MAP sensor fails, it can cause various issues with the fuel system and vehicle performance.
- Direct replacement and installation without special tools, convenient to use.
- 1 Pc MAP Sensor
- 1. Install: Remove old sensor; mount new in engine bay (passenger side).
- 2. Vacuum & Wiring: Connect to BOV source; route wires through firewall to door; link to MAP power (note signal).
- 3. ECU: Plug into ports (see manual); ECU under p-side carpet.
- 4. Bypass: Splice new power/ground to factory; insulate old signal; connect new to UTEC.
