AMAZING!!!

I'm pretty picky and don't even care about gumbo, never order it when out bc of that. I got this bc my hubs was craving gumbo. I now LOVE gumbo (or only this kind lol). If you dont like this, you're doing something wrong probably. I didn't fully follow directions.... used a dutch oven, seered chopped chicken thighs w/ blackened seasoning %26 sat aside (then lightly shredded), same with sliced sausage.... added water to pot (didn't clean)... came to a boil and added seasoning mixed per package.... was thick for me (added about 3 more cups of hot water throughout the hour, 1.5-1c at a time)... added frozen chopped okra and meats and simmered until okra almost ready (45-60min), brought back to a boil and added cleaned/rinsed raw shrimp and simmered until those were cooked through or up to 10-15 min. I liked it yesterday but it was even better leftover to me. (cooked rice separately in instapot with dry onion mix). very savory meal! Hope this rushed and probably terrible/lazy grammar review helps someone ❤️

Next best thing if you're not up to making a roux. Has that made from scratch flavor. I add more liquid to my base than called for. It just tastes better to me like that.

Best I have ever eaten all you have to do is add meat, water or broth. Has all your seasonings which saves you a lot. Delicious!!!!
