Dye precursor: p-Phenylenediamine (PPD): A common primary coloring agent that is a precursor to the final color. It reacts with the developer to form the new color within the hair shaft. Oxidizing agent: Hydrogen Peroxide: Acts as the developer. It bleaches the hair's natural melanin (color) and is necessary to activate the dye precursor to create the new, permanent color.
