Welcome back to Fool's Gold! In this fifth installment we get to know more of Montana Hendrix. I loved Montana, she is the most beautiful of the Hendrix triplets, but the poor girl has some serious self esteem issues. She's finally found her niche in life training service dogs. It's with these dogs that Montana runs (literally) into Dr. Simon Bradley. Simon is a brilliant surgeon, but a tough guy to get to know. He's only come to Fool's Gold for a few months, and has no intention of staying longer than that. But, of course, in the town of Fool's Gold, known for its man shortage, women will do anything to get one to stay. To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I PINK PUFFY HEART LOVED this book. The chemistry & sexual tension between Montana & Simon is explosive. Both characters were so easily relatable. Montana with her low self-esteem, Simon with his lack of showing emotion, I could read 5 more books on these two characters alone! It takes a while for these two characters to come together in the story, but it couldn't be rushed. It wouldn't have been as genuine if Susan Mallery had rushed it. This book takes readers on such an emotional rollercoaster that you'll be questioning whether or not it will end happily. Fool's Gold is the Land of Happy Endings, of course it ends happily!

he latest installment of the Fool's Gold series does not disappoint. To say that Dr. Simon Bradley is one of my absolute favorite romance heroes of all-time, would not be an understatement. The tragically flawed, both physically and emotionally, hero is heartbreaking and endearing and you can not help but fall in love with him and root for his happy ending. And as for our heroine, Montana Hendrix, who among us hasn't felt a little lost and confused? She embodies just about everything each of us has felt at some point in our lives. She just wants to find her place to belong and that person she belongs with. Their journey is sweet, touching, troubling, a bit of a tear jerker, pulls on the heart strings, makes you smile, makes you laugh, etc... Not only are Montana and Simon a fabulous love story on their own, but the secondary characters make up a wonderful background plot that adds depth to the story. The town of Fool's Gold once again shines and draws readers in for another can't put it down read.
