Very sturdy tripod. Used to mount a Meade ETX 60mm scope, which weighs 5.6 lbs. There is a hook mounted in the center of the tripod that a weight (3 lbs. of sand in a cloth bag) which stabilizes the tripod quite nicely and improves vibration suppression. Molded handle makes it easy to carry.

Great

I love this stand i bought it for one night because i needed a tall stand for a wedding video camera and it worked perfect. The panning is so so smooth.
