weird fit - toe thong too low

They're ok - the issue is the toe thong between the big toe and next toe is lower than most flip flops and it rubs for some reason.

Not For My Foot

The shoes look great and the sole is the right thickness. The problem is the strap between the toes. It's painful. It rubs against the skin between the toes, almost like the piece is too short. I've tried 'breaking them in' but gave up. There's just no give in the material and it only becomes more painful. I quit wearing them.
