Oral fluid DOA test kits are able to be administered under close supervision which makes it hard to attempt any type of concealed tampering.

Saliva tests enable a screening on a very short detection time period. They are designed to tell if someone has recently used a substance, but not whether that person uses substances more or less regularly. Easy Steps 1. Do not eat anything for at least 10 minutes before testing. Place the collection pad horizontally into the mouth. Swab BOTH cheeks and the top of the tongue by moving the collection pad in a circular motion. Swab EACH part approximately 15-20 times. (Do not eat anything at least 10 minutes before testing. Do not chew, bite, or bend the collection pad.) 2. Place the collection pad under the tongue. Keep the collection pad in place with the tip of the tongue against it. Hold the test device until observing the colored bands appear in the control region, then remove the test device out of the mouth. (NOTE: The colored band will appear within 3 minutes.) 3. Re-cap the test device and lay it on a flat surface. READ RESULTS AT 5 MINUTES. DO NOT READ AFTER 10 MINUTES. Reading Results Negative ( - ) Two Color bands appear in the Control zone (C) and the appropriate Test zone (T) regardless of color intensity.; It indicates that the concentration of the corresponding substance is zero or below the detection limit of the test. Preliminary Positive( + ) Only one color band appears in the Control zone (C). No apparent band in the Test zone (T). It indicates a preliminary positive result for the substance of that specific test zone. Invalid No visible band at all or there is a visible band only in the Test zone (T). The test is invalid. Another test should be run to re-evaluate the specimen.
