I really like these shoes overall. Especially for the price. But:
One bad feature is that they're made using a water-soluble adhesive. So water is the enemy of these shoes. This is probably why we often see reviews complaining that they don't last very long.
To prevent early failure, I spray them with several heavy coats of waterproofing spray. This doesn't affect the look of the shoes at all once it dries, and they last a long time for me even when exposed to snow or water quite often.
The slip-resistant soles work well under normal use. Wet smooth floors which are normally treacherous where I work, for example, are handled well by these soles.
However, the shoes can actually be extremely dangerous after I've walked in snow in a certain temperature range. A layer of show can become firmly attached to the tread, and then if I go inside and walk on a smooth-finished floor, I'm essentially walking on shoes with soles made of snow! So you need to be very careful about this until that layer of attached snow melts or is dislodged.
They seem to have good enough arch support that I don't need any extra "orthotic" insert or the like to prevent plantar fasciitis. They're comfortable for me, and last well with daily wear (if waterproofed).
