I love this brand. They quit selling the oak creek brand so I took a chance and tried this and I really like it. My only advice to anyone else is to watch out if you're adding other things with salt, like sausage and seasonings as it is already pretty salty to begin with, but you can always add more water than called for to lessing the salt taste if need. People with hight BP be careful with this and don't add extra sodium if possible.

I'm too impatient to make gumbo from scratch, so this is a great product! I like doctoring things and have a salty palette, so I usually make this with half water and half low sodium chicken stock and add cayenne and some frozen trinity blend. The one thing I will note is that it can be difficult to blend the mix, so I start with warm/hot liquid in a pitcher and stir before putting it in a pot.
