I absolutely love cinnamon - it is one of my favorite spices. This version from McCormick is fantastic! It has a wonderful rich flavor. The packaging is beautiful and high quality. It has a plastic top with holes for sprinkling that can be removed for spooning out larger quantities.
This is simply: Wow!
I didn't realize how much difference cinnamon could make until I tried McCormick Gourmet Roasted Saigon Cinnamon. I use cinnamon all the time in baking, oatmeal, coffee, etc. This one is on a completely different level from standard grocery‑store cinnamon. The first thing I noticed when I opened the jar was the smell. It's warm, rich, and almost toasty, not sharp or dusty. It smells like cinnamon sticks warming in the oven rather than raw ground spice. You can immediately tell it's been roasted because the aroma is deeper and more rounded. I've started by using it in my morning oatmeal. Normally I sprinkle cinnamon on top and barely notice it unless I use a lot. With this cinnamon, a small amount goes a long way. It blends into the oats and gives a cozy, slightly sweet flavor without tasting sugary. It made plain oatmeal taste like something you'd order at a café. I also tried it in French toast, mixing it into the egg and milk before dipping the bread. The flavor held up really well during cooking. Instead of disappearing, it actually came through more once the toast browned. It gave the French toast a warm, almost caramel‑like note that didn't need much syrup. Where this cinnamon really shines is baking. I used it in apple muffins, and the difference was noticeable even before baking. The batter smelled incredible. After baking, the cinnamon flavor was rich and smooth, not harsh or bitter like some ground cinnamons can be when heated. It paired perfectly with apples and brown sugar and made the whole kitchen smell amazing. The texture is fine and smooth, not clumpy, and it blends easily into both wet and dry recipes. The jar itself feels sturdy and seals well, which matters because this is the kind of spice you'll want to keep fresh. This is now my go‑to cinnamon. It's the kind of ingredient that makes everyday food taste special without needing extra effort. Whether you bake often or just sprinkle cinnamon on breakfast, this is a noticeable upgrade. If you enjoy cooking or baking and want deeper flavor without adding sugar, I highly recommend giving McCormick Gourmet Roasted Saigon Cinnamon a try. Once you use it, regular cinnamon feels like a downgrade.
High Quality and Great Flavor
Really impressed with this cinnamon. The flavor is rich and noticeably better than other brands I've tried in the past. It has a warm, fresh taste that stands out in recipes. Definitely a great upgrade for everyday use. Bonus, it tastes great in coffee!
