Mainstays Full 14" High Profile Foldable Steel Platform Bed Frame with Storage Space Under Frame, No Box Spring Required, Black

I have mobility issues, but the assembly was so simple, and the price was very reasonable. I will have to come back at a later time to comment on how it is holding up. It's a California king-size mattress frame. My only complaint is that it has to be placed against a wall if it's freestanding because it slides on my tiled bedroom floor. I don't think this would be an issue if my bedroom was carpeted. The two pieces are very easy to connect, there are no sharp corners, and legs are recessed to offer more support. I like that the top of the frame has the slats as I call them going horizontal and vertical, and to me, they are therefore sturdier than the ones going in only one direction. I had previously purchased a canopy bed, and the slat went i one direction only. Unfortunately, after about 8 or 9 months, the slats loosened, and I could no longer use the bed. I saved the head and footboard with the canopy and hope to attach them to a new queen size bedframe like this one sometime in the near future for my guest bedroom.

I got the frame in White and the size was Queen 14". The box in which it came had a couple dents in it and one spot was ripped open a little. When unboxed, as I was putting the frame together, I noticed one of the wires was a little bent. (see picture) I think that happen in shipping because the box did come a little damaged but since it was only one wire I wasn't going to take the frame back to the store so I bent it back in place and positioned the frame so the one wire that was bent I straightened is at the foot end of the bedframe where there is less movement when laying in bed. I really don't think it will become an issue. Took me less than 15 minutes to have it all together with mattress on it. So easy to assemble. I like the fact the frame itself is so compact. It will be easy to fold up and move if I ever moved to a new place. I put a bed skirt on the frame prior to laying the mattress on top and the mattress doesn't slip or slide at all. It holds it's position. I bucked the frame up against the legs of my headboard as there is no way to bolt the frame to the headboard without some sort of modifications and my headboard stays right in place. Doesn't move a bit. Bed doesn't squeak or make any noise when turning over. I would say if you like to change your room around like I do, then definitely need to put bed sliders under the legs of the frame. The bed is very hard to move on carpet without the sliders under the legs unless you take the mattress off which I don't like to do when moving a bed around in the room. Plenty of storage underneath. It's a true 14". For the price I would say it's a very good deal and overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
