Just moved into a duplex which has a slab foundation. I realized once I moved that to step down onto the floor from the shower was approx. 2"lower (since the pipes from the shower have to run under the tub. This extra 2" scared the living day lights out of me until I installed this grab bar just outside the shower. Now I get in and out by holding on to the grab (and I am a large person) and I feel safe and secure.

This is a heavy duty, brushed steel grab bar. When mounted correctly it will withstand the advertised weight (and probably more). I highly recommend this product.
