The first time I bought these they were a decent substitute for regular brownies which, after a recent medical diagnosis, I can no longer have (bleached/white flour). The second time, I was out of butter so I subbed it with equal amount of EV olive oil. It upgraded them SO MUCH! I make these with the directions from the box, but instead of water and butter I use milk and olive oil! They come out so fudgey and moist, try it and you won't regret it!

I layed walnut halves on the top before baking I noticed the brownies with the walnuts taste better than the brownies without walnuts. also, this tastes best right after baking when cooled enough to eat.
