I had bought the same fan a couple years earlier and I have loved it. and never had a problem till I was at work and my four-year-old stuck something in the fan blades and it was turned on the whole time. so when I came home I smelled something like it was burning it almost burned it up but I sprayed some WD-40 on it and it started working again. and my 4-year-old has thrown it tossed it all kinds of stuff and it's lasted so I bought another one because since he did that it's going to eventually give out so I will bought one for backup that's how much I love it I sleep with it every night because I'm 49 and going through the change let's say and I have to have something on my face blowing so I don't sweat all night. and it is perfect for it the three speeds because I prefer the high one

Great Vornado Fan

Great little fan. It sits 12 inches tall when it's pointed at you. I do not think it's noisy at all. However, I do have to put it on high for it to blow as hard as I like. It looks neat on my desk and gets a lot of comments. Cleaning it can be an issue, but I blow the dust out of it periodically with canned air and that seems to do the trick! The switch on the back only controls the oscillating function, which I don't use all the time. The dial on the front of the fan controls speed and on/off. So, I have not had an issue with having to pick it up or using two hands to turn it off/on as some have mentioned. It has been worth my money.
