great plane that flys well

Originally posted by SCOTT on Apr 24, 2015 3:07:42 PM: I did get to maiden the plane after this right up, I also put a 14x7 prop on the Olympus as it was just to much power. the maiden went very well even on a windy day, I needed a few clicks up elevator and I was flying pretty level for 15+ mph of .I put in 50% dual rates and the plane rolls pretty fast yet, this thing track very straight on and goes were you point it, very fun to fly. here is the rest of the review. Ok folks I finished the assembly of the Olympus,, packing was great no damage to anything, the directions are spot on and a lot better then even ones from say great planes, during assembly follow the instructions with the parts bags marked and its a breeze finding the wright screws ,control rods ect ect , this thing even comes with a screw driver for all the screws and even some glue for the rudder hinges, I put larger tires on the plane tho, and left off the wheels pants and the spinner, I just don't like these items , I want to do some watt test with 5 and 6 cells packs but that's later, the Olympus balanced out with a 3300 6 cell with the pack about 1/4 forward the battery tray and closer to the 160 mm mark, also added Velcro on the battery tray. wont get a chance to maiden it till next week with weather and work tho.

FMS F3A Olympus

Great value in a plane for a person learning to pattern fly. Assembly is straight forward, but test each screw hole before final assembly. Low rates are too low on elevator and rudder. Set aileron to what makes you comfortable. Descent quality for what is a fairly high tech design.
