(2 pack) Dark Walnut, Varathane One Step Interior Wood Stain + Polyurethane, Semi-Gloss -337037, Quart

I used this on a 100 year old floor. I'm not terribly experienced with floor finishing, and I later read on the can it's not recommended for floors, but I knew this would create a uniform color easily. The more coats applied, the darker the finish. (In the past, I used a gray color on my kitchen cabinets to get a solid gray color with the poly durability. ) This floor has seen it all pretty much--red paint around the edges, what looked like tan paint, black spots from an old oil stove, some regular lighter finished areas. This is the only product I know that had any chance of handling the job. Dry time was fast, and after an hour I was applying the second coat, which was again dry in an hour. The pics are before and after 2 coats. The floor isn't sealed yet....waiting for spring warmth for that. This is only 2 coats of the poly stain. I've got puzzle mats on pretty much most of the floor to protect it until then.
