Nokian Tyres Surpass AS01
OVERVIEW
The Nokian Tyres Surpass AS01 is a high performance, all season tire designed for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Nokian Tyers offers a 55,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.
Year-round traction and hydroplaning resistance are offered with this model. Durable rubber materials keep the tire pliable in changing temperatures. On the other hand, the ideal tread pattern generates biting edges that firmly grip the road surface with extra biting edges. Hydroplaning is avoided thanks to the groove pattern. These grooves prevent water and slush from cutting off the tire’s road contact in wet conditions. This further improves the tire's performance throughout the year.
The asymmetric tread pattern maintains close road contact in order to upgrade steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the tire offers great steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. Cornering is upgraded with the detailed shoulder block placement, which provides additional biting edges. The tread pattern uses a sipe and groove design to create friction during braking, significantly reducing the tire’s overall braking distance.
In addition, the tread compound and the stronger structure help in keeping such controllability at high speeds. The heat-resistant compound averts heat accumulation, while the strong model can easily handle high speed driving pressure without deforming. This protects the model from high speed driving pressure, high temperatures, and blowouts.
The Nokian Tyres Surpass AS01's combination of the tread design and the optimal compound blend eases the driving pressure off the tire. This results in reduced rolling resistance, the pressure that determines the vehicle’s fuel intake. Lowering this pressure helps ensure the vehicle’s lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In other words, it promotes a fuel-efficient performance.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
