Olympic 1 Gallon SC-1055 Off White Exterior Solid Wood Protector Stain Plus Sealer in One

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is always our go-to for our deck since we've built it. Between the rain & snow that accumulates throughout the year we always want to use the best of the best stain & this is it. It is a great wood protector and helps waterproof it. We've only had to touch it up once and that is when we replaced some slates. But it is so easy to apply the stain to the deck and takes a few hours and it is ready to go. One of my favorite things about it is the color, I love the red tin that our deck is. It adds a unique look to the front of our home where our deck is. Very pleased with how well this stain applies, how fast it dries, and the protection it gives our wood/deck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a deck that was installed and stained about six years ago. Unfortunately, the original stain was not specified for horizontal decking so it had worn off quite a bit. After power washing the deck and letting it dry well, I applied Olympic Wood Protector with a brush and roller. The product itself is very easy to work with. Very thin (almost like water) because it's a stain, but the "solid color" version is heavily pigmented, so it's almost like paint. The result is that it covers well but shows the grain. Clean up of tools and skin was very easy with just water. Too early to comment on durability, but the 5-year warranty on decks and 15-year warranty on fences and siding gives me confidence, as well as UV-protection, waterproofing and "scuff guard" formula mentioned on the can. One suggestion is to use a hand sprayer (like used for week killers) apply the product between the boards of a deck.
