Servings: 6, Rice & Water (Equal Amounts): 3 cups, Microwave-Safe Dish Size: 2 quarts. *Add 1 Tbsp. tub margarine and 1 tsp. salt per 1 cup of uncooked rice, if desired. Better then Minute Rice
I always used Minute Rice, because growing up, my Mom used it. Well, they were out on-line one day when I was making my order, so I tried Walmarts brand. I can honestly say that I think this is Minute Rice being sold as Walmart Instant Rice. It is just as flaky and works well alone or in recipes. Don't be afraid the try store brands! (I was a Kroger manager years ago and touring the Kroger Bakery, Meat Plant, Dairy and Produce Warehouse, I witness the Kroger items being packaged into other brands boxes and bags. Kroger, at that time, was actually producing one of their rivals store brand bread.)

Good Tasting Rice, Takes 5 Minutes
I wanted something quick tonight so I got this out. Preparation: It took about 5 minutes to cook it on stove top. I brought it to a boil, then turned it down and let it simmer. You can also cook it in the microwave but you have to use a much bigger bowl so it doesn't overflow. One cup of rice and one cup of water makes two servings. I like to put a little butter and low salt soy sauce on it. I served it with chicken. The consistency is a bit gummy but my family likes it that way. Anyway, one serving was filling and plenty for one meal. You can put veggies and tomatoes in it or use leftover rice for fried rice.
