I had purchased a different electric toothbrush elsewhere for my child, and was disappointed that when the battery died, it couldn't be replaced. The batteries that came with this toothbrush only lasted a few weeks, but I was glad that they were easily replaceable! My son enjoys using this toothbrush, and I love the fact that it alerts him when he should change what part of his mouth he should brush. It has four 30-second intervals for him to brush the top right, top left, bottom right, and bottom left teeth. The spinning head on it does a much better job than a regular manual toothbrush, and the glow in the dark stars on the handle are added fun for him! Very happy with this purchase!
